Hey All!
So, where to start.
OK. Lets start at the beginning! I was having a conversation with TDR headquarters about a year ago and we spoke about the old TDR National events. It was held at Cummins in Indiana and the TDR would have close to 900 people plus trucks there. Last one was around 2000.
I asked what would be involved in arranging a tour of Cummins for the Ontario chapter. They said they could get me contact info to Cummins.....
SNOWBALL EFFECT and 12 months later! :-laf
We have a tour of Cummins in place, already 400 booked in, it turned from a Ontario event to a national event! We never intended this to be a big thing but things got out of control! Oo.
So where are we at? The schedule looks like this:
Wednesday, June 8 - Tour of Warren Truck Plant in Detroit, Michigan - I am in the final stages of booking this and is not 100% fully confirmed! This plant makes Dodge Rams, Durangos, Dakotas..... I know there is no Cummins Rams here but I did not want to drive to Mexico to see that... . Please also note we are NOT YET TAKING RESERVATIONS for the Warren tour. Once we have all details worked out then we will open up registration for THAT tour.
Thursday - Convoy of all of the trucks from the Warren tour, down to Columbus, Indiana for a tour of Cummins. We are guessing about 60 trucks!
Friday - Tour of Cummins and maybe some racing at Indianapolis Raceway!
Saturday - Go to Inday Raceway and watch the NHRDA races.
Sunday - Convoy back home for the Ontario crew if they so choose.
To top it all off, camping will be at CERAland. For those that dont know, that is the exclusive recreational area for the Cummins employees: current and retired.
Some of the above is tenative at the moment, but will be confirmed shortly (within the next week or two)! What is not tenative is the days and the trip. THAT is a go! The finer details like evening events are still being worked on.
How do you book the event, go to the homepage! :-laf
Please note, registration has been open for many weeks and there is only 20 spots left as of this morning!
If you have any questions, you know where to find me! If you do end up signing up, let me know. I have additonal emails going around with the details.
