Thursday: Grand Caravan from Detroit to Columbus, Indiana

Thursday will commence with travel to Columbus, Indiana. Travel distance is approx 360 miles and about 6 hours of drive time to get from Warren to Columbus. If you have a CB radio, you are going to want to have it along!

Thursday afternoon will proceed with registration check in for both the event, and accommodations. We have available the Holiday Inn as well as CERAland.

For those who do not know, CERAland is an amazing place. It is the Cummins Employees Recreational Area RV Park. This is more than just your average campsite and is only open to Cummins employees. Thanks to Cummins though, they have opened their doors to our group!

Evening: Ice Cream Social

Friday: Tours and much, much more!

Friday will have MANY things! The day will cover a tour of Cummins Midrange Engine Plant where they build the Dodge B series motors, a show and shine, seminars with the Cummins staff, Ram will be bringing out some new trucks for us to test drive, and the day will end with a dinner at CERAland!

Saturday: Convoys, and racing!

Saturday will begin with a giant 400 truck convoy to Indianapolis Raceway park for the NHRDA diesel nationals at one of the most famous ¼ mile tracks in the world! There is more activities planned for the evening, but you will just have to come to find out what they are!!

Sunday: Race and return home

Sunday is the make-up day for the race should weather turn very nasty on Saturday. For many though, this will be the day that we point our trucks toward home, and say our goodbyes until next time.

Should you want to read more, many more details can be read at the following link: https://www.turbodieselregister.com/2011_CMEP_GTG.pdf

Registration for the Cummins tour is almost booked, and registration for the Warren tour is not yet opened (will open next week once the final details are worked out). Should you still want to drive with the caravan and attend the race at Inday, please feel free to join us!

thats all well and good but im coming straight to CMEP on friday morning... . i live east of Cincy and am just coming in for the day

When you register for the plant tour you will get your time. Everyone has a different time as there is multiple tours.

Either way, plan for 7 am at the plant. You will need your registration confirmation info.

Does that help?

I produced the video over the weekend and it's been uploading since saturday afternoon. Almost done - should have it up tomorrow. Hour and 45 minutes long with all the talks and Q&A sessions. \
