Would love to hear of your experiences with the Dodge rubber accessory rear mud flaps. I'm considering ordering them and installing them on a 2001 3500. Photos would also be appreciated if it's not too much trouble. Thanks in advance! :D

i have them on my 3500,,look great and easy to install. just dont use the plastic push pin connectors that come with them. they are too short to go through the rubber flap and the fender.

I agree with Iceman. Use bolts, the plastic push pins are worthless for this application.

I have pics below, but the flaps are hard to see.

David I see your from Knoxville. I live just down the road in Seymour. I looked around for mud flaps and I finally decided to go with a generic mud flap from Pheonix Conversions (670-4060) located in West Knoxville. So far they seem to be doing the job. They had a stainless steel "Dodge" script that I added to the rear flaps to dress them up. I haven't had a chance to get some pics yet but hopefully this weekend I will. Let me know if you would like to see some pics and I'll make sure I get some for you. Just another idea to look at.

Thanks,

Eric

My thanks

Thanks for all of the replies and advice. Nice truck raiste! but you're right, can't see the flaps very well. Thanks for trying! Eric, Phoenix is just down the road from me. Last time I looked around in there I didn't see anything that caught my eye, but that was a while ago. I would love to see the photos if it's not too much trouble.

Anyone by chance have any photos of the Dodge flaps installed? If not, that's okay :)

Sorry, I don't have the Dodge mud flaps. I asked the TDR membership about installing some generic mud flaps on a 3500. There were some good suggestions. I tried them and the results came out pretty good I think. Click on the link if you want to see it or my pics link.

Mud Flaps

I bought the Dodge rear mud flaps from the dealer I got the truck from. I really liked them and the fact they were pre-drilled to fit the truck. When I went to install them only 2 of the holes lined up with the holes in the fender. I dont know if these were for a earlier truck or not, but I ended up taking them back and ordered a set from the Powerstore. They have a Dodge/Cummins logo.

Dont have a picture but they look pretty good and are the same

size as the Dodge mud flaps.

in order for the pre-drilled holes to match up with the body holes the top edge of the flap should be as high as the middle of the side marker light.

Do you feel the Dodge rubber flaps on a 4X4 3500 are too short to stop the spray on a trailer? I know when the weight is applied in the back they will drop. Your opinion... ..... and others. No real good photos of the rubber Dodge flaps???? Bummer :( But thanks for trying and posting all of the others :D :D

with no load my flaps are 11 1/4 " from the bottom of the flap to the ground. i never had any trouble with spraying my 5er.

i have a couple pics, no close-ups though, that you can see their height. click on my 2001 to see them.

Thanks **ICEMAN**! I must say, that is a beautiful truck. Graphics blend so well. Mine is forest green, so graphics would get a little lost. I appreciate your and everyones help and advice.
