2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Dodge Tailgate Emblem/Salt Lake Meet

I was considering taking off the "Dodge" decal letters on the tail gate of my new truck. I already peeled the dealers name off of the back. (What nerve they have... . ) Has anybody tried this with the Dodge decal without damaging the paint and if so, how did you get it off? My truck is new so I don't think that there will be any color variation under the decals yet. Any advice will be appreciated.

I parked mine in the sun and about an hour later went back out and peeled the letters off. I replaced it with Dodge in Old English Script - looks great IMO.

this works too

on a hot day, go to the car wash and come in on a angle with the sprayer, it will come right off, then clean up with some adhesive disolver and buff out... ... ... ... ... ... then do a PM to **ICEMAN** and get custom graphics what ever you want, I have the 24valve CUMMINS on one side and I LOVE THIS FREIGHT TRAIN on the other side and also up on the back of the cab split on either side of the lite I have I"D RATHER BE CUMMIN>>>>>>>>>>THAN STROKIN.
