Installed a transmission filter on a new Dodge Cummins today. I don't think it is too much over kill for a truck. It belongs to one of the TDR guys. It was a Perma-Cool set up with a Motor Guard to filter on down below 1 micron. I used 1/2" ID 300 degree hose to a Perma-Cool 1211 3/4"-16 remote oil filter mount. Then I installed a 181 3/4"-16 Ford sandwich adapter with oil lines going to a Motor Guard submicronic bypass filter. You could call it a dual remote system. A mopar purist could install a Mopar spin on filter. Perma-Cool recommends 50,000 mile filter changes. The Motor Guard should take it to 100,000 miles. The old fighter/U-2 pilot left his fold up chair. I will try not to get too much dirt on it down at the lake;)

Everything but the Motor Guard came from www.jegs.com You could get the same results with any of the submicronic bypass filters. Does anyone have any suggestions about filter change intervals?
