Dodge Trucks now at Sterling Dealers

The Sterling "Bullet", according to the April 07 issue of FLEET OWNER will now be available. It's a Dodge Ram 4500/5500 chassis-cab.



The new "Bullet" will use a new ISB 7. 7 liter rated at 305 HP



I would imagine the 7. 7L engine is very similar to the engine installed in the Dodge brand chassis cab, only slightly larger.

I think your are in error on the engine size. The website you posted says (on specifications) "Engine Cummins 6. 7L ISB 305hp 610 lbs. -ft torque Cummins 6. 7L ISB 305hp 610 lbs. -ft torque "



Same as Dodge?

Does anyone suppose that the TDR will accept this new rig as one of our own or form a new web-site and magazine for the new kid in town?



I myself don't really care either way. I'd be happy to have them on the TDR in their own forum.



Yes, the article states that the "Bullet" is designed by Dodge/Sterling which they are both DC. The reason stated that the idea is "Customers want one stop shopping" They can buy the heavier rigs for the fleet and include the lighter duty trucks (the Bullet) via the same dealership.



I for one know that our local Sterling/Freightliner does service the Dodge Ram trucks. They do warrenty on Cummins "B" engines but cannot say if they perform warrenty on the "Dodge" engine at this time.

That info is INCORRECT - it is the same 6. 7... ... I posted earl;ier about this - some of the members were indicating that the real advantage is that now you'd actually have a service department that is truck only and available almost anytime... ...
