Interesting comparision, never a definitive answer though as personal choice's, likes and dislikes will always play apart in a discussion like this. It's the same old thing as " My Dad can beat up your dad--- No he can't--- yes he can!!"
Recently I was in the market for a new "TOY" . This toy had to meet only a couple of criteria. One it had to be "LOW", it had to be "LIGHT", it had to be "FUN" and then there is always the "cool" factor. I had very serious reasons for each of these criteria. I was going to haul this "TOY" on my stacker trailer along with my bass boat, and weight and overall height was important to maintain a low center of gravity. These trips I was going on were going to be for a month or two and I needed that fun car thing when I wasn't on the water. Here's a picture of the trailer loaded with a Jeep Rubicon I had for a while and the jeep simple didn't work very well.

So my choices were in this order "Viper" --- " Older Ford roadster like a 32"--- " Classic Corvette 1963-1967". Found a nice used Viper and a 32 Ford roadster and a 1963 Split Back Window coupe at the same place in San Jose CA. One of those specialty car places that seem to be more popular today. Went over there and drove them all. The "Classic" Corvette was a joke really, very cool car but not one bit comfortable, damn small inside and NO creature comforts at all. I am a big man at 6'4" tall and well over the 220 lbs I should weigh. That and the price tag said "Classic Corvette" elemenated for this old cowboy. The 32 roadster was also a very cool car, it was all steele, well built, handles well and drove very nice. But it was a roadster and for my use was just not practical, so bye, bye to the Duece. That left what I thought was just one choice remaining the "VIPER". The Viper drove and handles like a dream, it was a miserable car for ME to drive becuase of its size inside but damn man was it cool, fast and tons of fun, I thought I had made my choice. Made an offer I could live with and only needed to hear back from the owner and the deal would be done. While driving back to the house I drove by Courtesy Chevy in San Jose. They are a huge Corvette dealer and had about 20 Vettes setting outside. I pulled in not to buy one, but just to see how one would fit and feel. The fit was VERY comfortable for a big man like myself, with more leg room than I could even imagine. It was a 6 speed car and drove very well, had ever option you could imagine Nav, HUD, all Leather, everything Chevy offers was on this Corvette. The price was damn reasonable. It was at least as fast as the Viper in my short comparison, the ride and "HANDLING" was at least AS good as the Viper, maybe better but that is a maybe. In the long run the Corvette was the better choice for "ME" just because of how well I fitted into it. The owner of that Viper never did even respond to my offer so I bought that Corvette. As a MOPAR guy I wish I had bought the Viper, but I am a ton more happy with the Vette in truth.
