Dodge VM Diesel 1500

Maybe I missed the opportunity to discuss this...but the site now has a place for 1500's with the VM diesel? And in there discussions also include Nissan and Toyota offerings with the Cummins diesel for 1/2 tons? I thought this was a Dodge Ram Cummins Turbo Diesel forum? If Dodge missed the boat on the 1/2 ton Cummins engine...we shouldn't really care much about including the VM diesel as if it fits right in with the nature of this site. It's technically an "other" topic. Nor should Nissan or Toyotas WITH a Cummins engine be in the "mainline" Dodge Cummins forums ie" 4th Gen, 3rd Gen etc.

I'm not trying to be rain cloud on diesel 1/2 tons...but the fact remains that this website is focused on Dodge Ram Cummins applications...and VERY specifically so. I don't think the 1500 VM equipped trucks deserve a place in the 4th Generation Forum. This isn't any ordinary Dodge truck forum. Nor is it an ordinary diesel pickup Forum. It's TDR. And to me that means a Dodge truck with a Cummins in it. As a paying member since 2002, that's just my opinion I feel I'm entitled to.

It's a Ram, it's a Turbo Diesel. Why not? It's in all our best interest to see the Ram badge do well, and why not welcome the newbies? My $.02.

TDR................Turbo Diesel Register. Doesn't say Dodge or Ram anywhere on it................or Cummins for that matter! Hell, we should let VW's in!

I think the evidence that TDR was founded upon and specifically marketed to owners of Dodges with Cummins diesels is documented somewhere. Yes...in 83 different quarterly printed documents. Im not saying dont discuss 1500's...but to put them in the 4th gen forum?

Whats the criteria then? Must be a Dodge? Must have a Cummins? Or both? Where's the mitsubishi diesel D100 section under first gen?

I shouldn't have originally said they aren't deserving of discussion on the site. Just that they shouldnt be lumped in the 4th gen cummins trucks. Just being a Ram and having a diesel isn't (or wasn't) the point of TDR originally. Nobody can argue that. If its the new way...the cover of the quarterly needs changed.
