Exhaust manifold gaskets: re-usable?

Tech Line™ Black Satin™ coating - anyone?

Just installed my Dodgezilla and so far I am pleased. Sounds nice, it's a little louder than the stock HY and spools about as quick. Installation was a real pain, took about 4 hours. Although straight forward I found that the stock oil return line on the bottom of the turbo was not even close to fitting. An hack saw, hydrolic hose and some hose clamps got me where I needed to be. Maybe I will be happy for a while;)

I had the same problem with the oil line. Ended up putting old turbo back on so I could get to the job the next day. Called Rip and found out about clocking and so on, after that went on in 1. 5 hours total. They need a set of directions for this task like for the injector install in sequence. .

I agree with the instruction sheet. This information will be passed back to Tim and Jason.

Sorry for any inconvience

Hey, it could have been worse guys... ... . you could have left the return line dust plug in when you hooked the line up and watch it puke oil out the tail pipe:{ No excuse or instructions needed for that just a total brain fart.

Clocking is just rotating the housing to align as needed. Both turbine housing and compressor housing can be rotated to align

to fit everything up nice.

Bob

instruction sheet to be added soon. and don't forget to prelube the turbo too.

prelube is done by spinning the turbo by hand while adding a small amount of oil into the oil inlet.

Well I finally got the chance to roll into the DZ a little tonight. I've got about 150 miles on it now so I put the EDM 2's in and off I went. With the Comp on 3X3 I can hit 1300deg by just rolling in to it at maybe 3/4 throttle, although I only have a 3" straight pipe I was expecting alittle lower #'s at that level. It could also be that I was only spooling it up to 25psi and the transmission is shifting a little early, the transmission was just installed last weekend and will get adjusted this weeked so we'll see if that changes anything.

Hey, four hours ain't bad for getting the turbo on. I spent 7 last night under a tarp in the rain doing mine.

I did tap the intake manifold and install a new thermopile, that took a little bit to get the depth just right.

Now, the stinking oil return.

Dodge must have saved a whole nickle using those little bitty short bolts that don't want to get started. I did notice that the bolts on my heater hose brackets are the same thread, wrong lengths.

I clocked it, pried it, prayed at it, clamped it, and beat it.

Finally , I took the turbo loose.

Then I dropped my little stubby wrench.

I finally found it down in the thermo blanket thing on my oil pan.

So after a severe whoopen' cause of short bolts, it got back together:-{}

Now, if I can only get the stinking oil feed line to stop leaking:D

how much of a drop in egt's did you see? was there a noticable power increase with the dodgezilla? i'm ready to do a turbo upgrade and wondered how much difference it made?

Dodgezilla 40 can now be purchased for almost the same price as the dodgezilla 14cm wastegated price.

So for those who are looking for more on the top, this may be the ticket.

Bob, how is it for spool up? I live at 4600 feet. I'm still trying to decide between a 40 and a Dodgezilla...

Paul

Paul, I would stick with the dodgezilla 35/40 for your truck. But after adding marco's ecm I am tempted to test a 40 with the 91% convertor. can you say early spool up :)

Cooker, will put together a list for you

Bob, when the Dodgezilla '40 is available in 3rd Gen application I'd be interested to know :)
