Is it really true that the dodgezilla spools up as quick as a PDR HX35? If so then why don't more people run them? I need a turbo that spools quick but helps on the temp side. I have a PDR HX 40 and hate the turbo lag. What do you all think? I just want to hear what you have to say and think about this.

camshaft--a couple more words

A diesel camshaft can't really be called "hotter" because it has nothing to do with the fuel. The DD cam won't give you more power by itself, it may help you burn fuel that isn't being burned-thereby increasing you power numbers. BUT the main things the DD shaft is touted for is QUICKER SPOOLING, lower EGT's and better MPG.

The bad news is that it's a real big job. You have to take everthing off the front of your truck to stick one in.

You should call Diesel Dynamics (or others offering a 5. 9 cam) and talk to them about it.

BTW I don't want to get anyone mad at me here from City Diesel or PDR. It's just a question I need answered and money is very tight right now.

I have delt with both of them and they will give you there shirt off there backs if you ask nice. That means allot to me. City Diesel helped a friend of mine that is not a TDR member yet but will and he can't stop talking about how nice they were to him. I hope we can just keep them that way.

My mistake, it is the Dodgezilla turbo. I just looked it up on the Wildcat Diesel website. I'm not sure, but I think it is the same thing that City Diesel sells. It has the largest 40 compressor on the front of a 35 from what I understand.

HOOOOOEEE

I've got one them thar Dodgezilla's on my truck now. Two words--HANG ON!

Very impressed with what a 35 hybrid turbo can do with the fuel I'm throwing at it. But then this is my first non-OEM turbo.

I gave it a pretty easy 150 miles for break in. Then I had to dial the boost down a bit--just about pegged my 50# gauge. Now it's making 42-44psi and less smoke and more power and :D :D :D

Spools like my stock 35 set for 34#'s --and that was pretty quick. I have no idea how fast the PDR35 spools.

I have the 14cm wastegated version.

I have a Dodgezilla turbo with a 14cm. This thing spools FAST even with all the power I throw at it. I am very very happy with the turbo.

I have a Dodgezilla on my truck and very HAPPY with it!! Spools up very quick. After installing the 370's and the Dodgezilla from

City Diesel I'm well pleased with it. Now looking for a new clutch to hold up now. The one I have now can't take the pressure!!!:D

Dallas...

pro68dodgedart,you could do what I did with my PDR40/16,swap out the 16 housing for an original "Kwikspool" (Kurt's) 12 or 14 housing. I'm running the 12. Dave
