Does a Lift Void Warranty???????

my dealer told me that if they installed the lift and I didn't go over 4. 5" it would be covered. I'm about to find out because after 22k I think I have some play in my steering so I'm going to take it in. I'm curious since they sold me a extended warranty when I bought it.
