Does an 03 have a transponder key

I've been told that 03s came both with and with out the transponder key security. I am adding a remote starter, so this is important to find out so I can buy the right parts.



My key looks standard, but I know that is no indication. How else can I tell?

If the key has a grey color plastic end/cap it has the security chip, if it is black it does not.
