Luber finer oil and fuel filters? I've tried a search and came up short. A local industrial suplier claims there are less than a half dozen filter manufacturers in the US and Luber finer is one. I've been told that they meet or exceed OEM and are on par with the WIX brand that I have been using. They are coming in at half the price and I thought I'd pick up a case of each if they are recommended.

Most of the large truck repair shops have them. We sell them at our Freightliner parts store. And i believe they are a better filter than the Wix brand

My Dad uses those things exclusively in his '95 and '01. 5. He loves them sais they are just as good as Wix if not better. Not to mention, they sell them at every Flyin J truckstop from california to lousiana that I know of.

I used to use Luber finer spin on fuel filters on my oil fired boiler. I had a big problem with them packing up WAAY before they should :( . I went back to a wix and have no problems now on Garber (the best) with no problems. The Luber finer filters were only about 3 bucks a peice. I haven't cut one open but at least on this aplication, I think they short you on filter space. IMO here you get what you pay for.

What is the micron size of the fuel filter? I know that a 20 micron filter will try to strip the dye from home heating oil or off road fuel. I have seen this with our standby diesel generators at verizon here in Jersey. The 30 micron filter will run the dyed fuel with out any problems. If you are using the filters for over the road use the 20 micron should be fine.
