COOT

Must have been 25 years ago when I saw one. I guess it was a sporting goods show. The little bugger was cute lil thing. It was made of two metal tubs that you loaded with people or freight.

The articulation in the middle was the whole show.

It in effect would work like one of todays rock crawlers do. You could have the right front up on a rock and the the rear half would be perfectly level, or the rear left might be standing on some other obstacle. The two body sections could tilt in opposite directions. There was no frame as I recall. The other draw was the COOT was amphibious. It made a nice duck hunting rig.

Years later I spotted something similiar up in Alaska. It also articulated in the center. It was used for moose hunting. It had much taller tires to motor through the marshes.

We used them in the late 60s, early 70s for moose hunting. They worked great, especially when the terra tires became available!!

They would go thru muskeg and swamp that you couldn't walk thru, especially carrying a pack with a load of moose on your back!!!

hammersley,

Take all the X's out of the line bellow and put what ever address in that you want... everything between the " " is the address. Then just put it in your post and it should work. .

**** I can not get the line you need to show up, aparently I will have to send it in a email if you want it... . or do a search on image posting and you will find the solution... .
