Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) does anyone have bd 5 injectors?

looking for some input on the bd 5 injectors. will take all feedback.

having them installed in my truck I was told they are 180hp, but some people are saying they won't make that. i heard they will only add 50 hp more than my bd 2's I am running now???



if you are running them are you happy with them?

I ran BD 2's and did not like the smoke level for the HP produced. Switced to DD3's better HP less smoke.





Then switched the Mach 3 EDM where does it end.



BullyDog injectors are known to smoke more than others.

Currently running BD4's and feel that they are stronger than my DD2's I used to have but not half again as much like they are advertised to be. DD2's on Dyno showed @65rwhp if I had to guess these are like 90or 100 range at the best thinking of going to some EDM's or some other custom cuts now though.

No they will not make 180hp with the stock turbo. With the TST and BDV's you will have way too much fuel compared to the amount of air you have.

I have had the bd5 injectors in for just about 24K with no proublems. They will make as much smoke as you want to make if not more

I sold my 50/55 turbo and now have my stock turbo back on, with it I can tow with my box off and really not have to much trouble pulling a light load. (like a car or boat) run hwyway speeds even up steep hills. (will have to let off or down shift if below 60mph but if you keep the rpm up and speed up they pull alright) Every so often I have to back out of the fuel because of egt when empty but I am always way over the posted speed. I have never had a problem with egt unless I am playing. Hope that helps but I would be gald to talk to you if you want a used set so I can go bigger drop me an email if you have more Q?

forgot to add my truck with the box off stock turbo bd5 made 353 hp. edge comp on level 1 made 394 hp I have no tq numbers

BD- 5's

Dino,I run 5's with a twin setup, couldnt be happier. gonna go to kauffmans soon and do a pull to see what hp it's make'n with them. Get a hold of me some time, you can try mine before you buy a set, (I'm not that far away realy)
