I want to install four strobes (one at each corner) just for safetys sake. I ski and snowmobile alot and encounter many nasty driving conditions. Also being on a farm it would be nice to have them for moving equipment and stopping traffic for various purposes. Just wondering what good, bright, attention catching setups are out there.

I have installed many of these hide-away strobe kits.....

The really expensive head units are fun to play with... . all the neat flash patterns and so forth. The newer head units even have random flash... . which I think is a very good idea. Constantly changing the flash pattern is a good thing.

I have a set in my truck that I got from northerntool.com. Some times I have to go out into the middle of a street to check manholes and presseure test new sewer or water pipes. Believe me they have saved me more than once. Even the detail cops like them.

We are in the process of ordering two 4WD 2500 quad cab diesel autos as EMS first responder vehicles. Oo. These will have lots of strobes. I will post the pictures when all the graphics and lights are installed. Right now there is a hold on all SO autos for some reason.

Redneck - yup, won't deny that.

Ricer Boy - Well, they sure do have some nice looking trim at their car shows even though most of the cars are junk.

You know me... . I like anything fast.

And two of my current strobes (sides),

The rest (4) of my strobes are a pair of red ones (front) and a pair of clear (rear tail lenses). I've gotten them from various manufacturer's and they are just the insertable tube type you've probably seen before. I also have a set of wig wags in the front headlights. With all of these lights, I'm visible to someone who's looking. Most of the time, people aren't looking. Keep that in mind when contemplating emergency lighting.

I should also tell you that the front red lights don't fire red. They fire pink and have limited daytime visibility. The sides and rear are clear bulbs with red lenses (rear tail lens) and work quite well during the day and very well at night. Just another FYI.

Hopefully this information gives you a place to start. If you need more help, PM me and I'll do what I can.

One more note of caution. Check with your local LE agency to see what colors you can have. I don't see a problem using any color as long as it's for it's intended use and you're not screwing around with them (ie using it to joy ride, or pull people over, or for turn signals, etc. ). Abuse them and you'll get no sympathy from me.
