I was looking into the wizard, I now have a bd plug and power and I was wondering if the wizard is better I havent done any mods to my auto transmission so I dont know how high I can go, I apprediate all the input thanks alot!

Hey CBD, I've had the Blue Chip FMS for about a year now and it works as advertised - adding about 100HP. But I wouldn't even think about using it unless you have an EGT and boost gauges as it will make the EGT's soar, and have improved your trans to handle the extra power as it will very likely slip. Caveat - what I've just suggested wouldn't ABSOLUTELY be necessary if one were to use only say, the first 10 or 15% of added fueling, but who's gonna be able to do that? ;)

I'm Still playin' with my FMS Premium (+120 hp/ 460 ftlbs) And I am lovin' it! Have you read up on the specs of it yet?

Trans upgrade. I think it May be wise but if you are running the FMS on an otherwise stock truck You can scale it back until you do a trans mod.

Yea CBD there are more than two people with the FMS. I installed one in Feb. Works as advertised. Called Chip today to upgrade to the premium version like ToolMan has and hopefully they call me back with the code tomorrow. I'll be calling Peter at SBC tomorrow for a new clutch. One thing about the basic FMS, with no turbo inhancement the EGT's will soar on the 30% level. As Toolman says the box will defuel smoothly. This is a great feature if you let someone else drive your truck or fall a sleep up a hill someday on cruise. Kwikkurt will have my B1 ready by next week maybe.

Good Luck,

T-Ricky

Me too, CBD! The FMS is my favorite truck "toy", not sure what I like most. SMOOTH power, infinite adjustibility, several digitial guage readouts, recording boost, tachometer, egt and rpm, low fuel pressure alert or the great service you get from Chip. Come to think of it... ... . the best feature is being able to easily "fiddle" with all the features while I'm driving. Push the red button=now its on race mode=spank the powerstoke/duramax. :D

It is the best heavy fueling box on the market in my opinion, but you really need to stack an EZ with it to have some real power. See sig for details...

I agree with Phil get the premium version. I ran with the basic for about a month and up graded today. WOW. It does so much more. Drove out of my way tonight on the way home from work just to blow off a PSD with some kind of chip in it. Can't way to hear the excuses from this guy tomorrow. Hope the B1 shows before I leave for the right coast the middle of this month. Going to be towing my condo on wheels. How much more does a timing box add to this thing? I hate passing that segment and not inputing WILD on the timing box controller. Does the Van Akien work as well as the Edge?

Thanks

Rick

There is an option on the sub~menus on the display for on the fly timing adjustment ... ... I believe there is an option coming out in the near future? It has none ,Mild , Normal , Wild settings. I just looove this thing!

:eek:BD in Abbotdford has many brand new boxes for $675. 00

$675...that seems darn near impossible

Bob,

Your saying that BD has the "Premium FMS" for $675 or the "Standard FMS"... there is a $300 difference in the two boxes... Premium retail of $1295 and the Standard for $995. or maybe you are talking about the original blue box which has a retail of $695? Which would it be Bob ?
