I have checked out southbends website and I don't see one on there. A friend of mine who knows a lot more about clutches than I do recommended I get one if it was available.

Thanks guys,

Chris

You can't go wrong with Southbend Clutch.

Give Peter a call, he will answer your questions about 'button clutches'.

wth?

What is a button clutch? Is it one of those that is so grabby it's like it's either off or on, no in between?

Button Clutch

I ran one in my five speed, didn't like it. Chatters like crazy upon engagement. It's nasty. They button clutch I had was ceramic on one side and kevlar on the other. You would never be able to burn it, but it would rattle your teeth out. I believe that manufacturer stopped producing that clutch due to the lack of satisfaction with the drivability. It didn't hold in my truck either. However, upon removal it was clear the pads had not seated properly. It takes a very heavy pressure plate to go along with the button/puck clutch. You won't like that either.

TST makes one, I had it, it worked great for everything except sled-pulling. I would buy it again if I didn't pull. I towed with it no problem, raced with it no problem, and the streetability was fine, and it's cheap too. www.tstproducts.com

BTW, it held 450hp.
