Not that I'm complaining but your GMT clock is located an hour east of the one we use at the FAA and I can't add or subtract very well.

That was a great tune Jimmy wrote for Chicago. . Seriously. The GMT time shows by default until you inform the server how to correct for your own timezone in <user cp>; took me for ever to figger that one out!!!:)

Daylight Savings glitch?

... except you cannot take into account (yet) transitions between standard time and daylight savings, which kick in twice every year in the Spring and Fall..... oh well, I guess +/- 1 hour out is better than nothing... must be what the techies call an undocumented feature ;)

ZEEEW, yes, GMT, UTC (that's Coordinated Universal Time in French), and zulu are all the same. The TDR site seems to automatically modify the time for Daylight Saving; for example, in my time zone, the difference between GMT and PDT is -7 hours. If I change my user cp to reflect the 7 hour difference, then the site clock is incorrect by one hour. If I leave the user cp at -8 hours, which is correct for Pacific Standard time, then the site compensates for Daylight Saving Time and shows the correct time. Clear as mud? In other words, ignore the difference, and select your time zone (Pacific, Mountain, Central, Eastern, Atlantic, Newfoundland, etc. ) You guys off the continent are on your own! ;)

Sorry TT but........

TT must disagree with your statement..... You guys off the continent are on your own! ;) ..... Timezone differentials should in theory (and practice!) be stable and reflect the current settings associated with your part of the world including daylight saving when in force... still waiting on the TDR to acknowlege/respond/comment/fix this anomaly.....

It does seem that the system automatically updated the clock. It's probably a default setting on the system assuming you'll use it at local time. Unfortunately the vBulletin software offers no way of doing daylight savings time automatically so for now we are better off having it change. The vast majority of users are in areas where the clock does change. In the past we got lots of complaints around the clock change.

Steve, it's good to see you're on the ball (as always). DST updating is bargain basement stuff. When it come to contract sales renegotiation, just mention this limitation(!)
