I see on Piers et al that I can get a fuel plate "kit". I don't need the whole kit, just a plate. I want to try a 10 (my home ground one gets a little warm when towing :{ ) and I want something that will defuel some at the top. Does anyone sell just the plate? Anyone have one that they want to sell? Thanks

I think the "Kit" is essentially the plate and new fasteners & elbow, same deal whether you get them from Piers, TST, DD or whoever. A $195 kit is probably $190 for the plate itself and $5 for the boost elbow & screws.

I have a #10 that I want to sell it only has about 1000 miles on it let me know if u are interested

The kit has the plate, installation guide plate, break-off screw, boost elbow and hose clamp, instructions.

The #10 is a nice towing plate.

A number 10 plate ?

What do the numbers mean? What are the range of numbers available and what is the factory plate equivalent to?

I took my truck to Garmons in Atlanta and he took out the factory plate, ground it down, polished it, and put it back in. Consequently I have no Idea what mine is, but It runs like a scalded dog. A little too much smoke though, so he adjusted the AFC to down a litte to keep me from blacking out every intersection I take off from.

Piers quoted me $150 for just the plate. They have an exchange policy that you can trade your fuel plate for $50 if it's too hot or not big enough. They charge you $150 when the new plate is shipped and credit you $100 when they receive your old plate. Kind of like a core charge at the parts store.

Thanks for the replys. I ended up grinding a little more off the bottom of my plate then sliding it back toward stock position. I still have the ommph at lower rpms, but defuel a little more at higher rpms. So far I am only hitting 1200* under full throttle with no trailer. I suspect with our new bigger trailer egt's will be higher, but not out of sight. We're leaving for vacation Friday, so I didn't want to take the chance of not getting a new one in time to install it. We will be in NW Washington, just across the border. I am planning to make a little trip over the border to Piers Oo. :-laf . Maybe new plate, turbo...
