Does colder air = Louder turbo whistle?

I know that diesels like the cold air... ... . But what i am wondering is, earlier today i was out driving around and temps were about 45 out, and now later tonight the temp is about 28-30 outside... ... Its seems from earlier today to right now my turbo has gotten louder... .



Just wondering if that has to do with the cold air temps outside?????



Would colder temps outside make the turbo whistle louder than normal?



Its almost like im running open air intake and no silencer ring...

Yes colder air can and will change the sound of a turbo.
