2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Does Shifter hit with Genos Cup Smoothie?

Looking to order a genos cup smoothie for my 1996 5speed ... does the shifter hit it in 4th gear or get in the way too much making the smoothie a total PITA?

Doesn't actually hit the cup smoothie but will hit a biggie cup in the drivers holder when shifting to second and come close to a biggie cup on the pass side with reverse. Still a very worth while addition though. I usually find myself using the passenger side cup holder and like I said, it's really only an issue with the really large soft drink cups.



The fact that it can even hold a large soft drink cup is impressive. If I had to do it again I'd definitely buy another cup smoothie.

I can't help you with the cup smoothie issue, having the newer style and all, but I'm amused. First I notice that we both sold LS1's for the Cummins, then I see we're both dropping 440's into A-bodies.

I think i remember you mentioning that you were selling you LS1 a while back. Well, what ever happened and what did you get for yours? I really found a sucker and got 15k for my 98 camaro SS with 40k miles automatic, low optioned car. blue book was about 12,500 and you could get a racecar ls1 camaro for around 13k... CTD for 9k, surplus of 6k



I will be ordering my stuff from genos tonight



BTW-- What year abody are you dropping the 440? Are you using a schumacher conversion kit? Id sure love a 69 charger but its a little out of the budget :-( let me know

Yeah, I took it on the chin compared to you on the camaro. 2001 SS sunset orange, 6 speed, loaded. 24k miles 16,000 is what I got. Puts around 5,500 in my pocket, but compared to your price, I took a hit.



The 440 is going into a 68 Barracuda notchback. Use to be a /6 auto, to be 440 4 speed. I actually came across a '68 383 formula S and got the K member out of that. I kinda felt bad taking it out of such a rare car, but it had no chance of coming back.

I just bought one and love it. Hasn't hit, but they say only with a big jumbo jug.

Well mine does. Got me a 2000 model 5 speed installed last week, and will go with the short shifter and then it won't.

The only issue I've found with the cup smoothie is when lowering the center armrest while in 2nd, 4th, or Reverse. The cup smoothie WILL interfere in this scenario.



Other than that, it's all good. I too would order another if/when needed.
