When changing the fluid in out 11. 5 axle, does it need a lsd additive. The shop manual says track-lock needs additive and track-rite does not need it. I'm not sure how to tell the difference.

Also, do both diffs have the reusable rubber gasket?

If the rear is an 11. 5 axle, does that mean the front is also the same size?

THanks,

The fronts on all the 3/4 and 1 ton dodges since 2003 model year are 9. 5"... so it is smaller than the rear.

Chances are both diffs have the reusable gasket... BUT I doubt you need to replace the front fluid... granted the gears are turning BUT there is no power to them so in effect they are not doing any work.

As for the LS... in these axles (the rears having the LS) it does not require any additives. Just the gear oil that you would normally put in is needed.
