Okay, on my truck (see sig) with the wastegate BLOCKED and superchips tuner on level 3 im STILL only seeing 20 lbs of boost ..... also im not setting an overboost code so i know the boost isnt even making the truck defuel to stay below 20 unless its doing it so fast that it never makes it that far?????

Stock injectors and BHAF and what have you... .....

Just curious on some opinions

Jake, I had the same situation with my Hypertech until I got the pinch clamp Aron had me take off my truck to put on yours at the meet in Minooka. I could never get above 21 lbs until he put that clamp on the small hose from the wastegate to the compressor... I can now hit 31 lbs easily. Maybe pull the hose off the compressor and plug it or get a clamp similar to mine.

PS glad to see you got some guages installed. Aron was talking about bringing the dyno down to my place in the next few weekends and trying to figure out what gives on why everyone's numbers were so low... . maybe you could make it up... I'm about 1 1/2 hours from Dubuque.

misread

I'm sorry I misread that you have it blocked already. Where did you hook the boost guage too? Maybe a bad seal? Did you use teflon tape on the connections?

CSnyder thanks, i got the gauges in alright :) been a real sick so i havent had much wrench time to deal with anything. I used a 1/4 NPT pipe plug to completley disable the wastegate instead of just pinching the hose. For the boost gauge i tapped into my aluminum intake elbow that attaches to the grid heaters. I didnt use any teflon tape but i did use a good thread sealant.

Maybe my superchips programmer is just doin something weird?!?!?

Jake

Jake, have you tried uninstalling the chip to factory and checking to see that it's still working. Then I would double check all the boots to the intercooler and make sure they are tight. The lower boot on the driver's side likes to get a slice in it from rubbing the inner fender... look there once. Chris
