Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Does this sound like oil pressure sending unit it going bad already?

Since I got my truck back from the dealer just over 1 wk ago my oil pressure gauge reads 0 and check gauges light comes on intermittently. Then the next time I drive it, all is well. Then sometimes it quits and works again while I'm driving. Oil is fine and when it's working my pressure is fine. After all these trips to the dealer I'm thinking about getting rid of this thing already, been nothing but a headache. 30 trips in less than 2 yrs and under 24,000 easy miles. Any way, does this sound like the oil pressure sending unit to all of you. I drove to the dealer twice already and when I get there it works fine, so no use in leaving it to get it back with the standard answer ( cannot duplicate problem). Oh well any helpful comments would be great, Thank You... ... . :{

Oil sending unit

I had the same thing happen to my 01 when it only had about 7K on it... . I had to take it back to the dealer twice before they finally just changed the unit... . works fine now... Your problem sounds just like mine... .
