Does this sound right?

I recently got new tires (285's up from the factory 265's) and was wanting to get the speedometer, etc. updated with the new tire size. I called the local dealership here in town (which is not where I purchased my truck), and they quoted me a price of $86 plus tax to do this. The service manager said that's the charge for an hour of labor. I also asked about TSB #08-011-04, which deals with the Infinity speaker wiring, and they said they would also charge an hour of labor to fix this. Does this sound right for each? I can see it for the TSB because they have to pull the radio from the dash, but I can't see how it's an hour of labor to update the computer for the new tire size. Any help or suggestions?

Find a different dealer. My local one does them either for free or $50 even. Just depends.



Even better, whe you go for mods, if you get a downloader, like a Smarty or Diablosports or Superchips, it will do it for you!



For now, just wait. Its not off by much!

I paid $36 to get my speedo recalibrated. I'd check with another dealer.
