I have a 1998 1/2 24 valve 2500 automatic. Everything is stock with 24,000 miles on it. I have been thinking about putting the adjustable tst box on this truck. Has it been proven that these add on computer boxes hurt the vp44 high pressure pumps or cause them to fail more quickly. I understand that one cause for failure is the loss of fuel lubrication when letting off of the accelerator while coasting downhill ect. Whats the deal here? I may just go to larger injectors and some way of increasing the boost and leave the pump alone. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks
Ken

Any fueling upgrade puts more pressure on the pump/s. It's certainly not a vendor specific thing.

Personally, I think if you're doing a fueling upgrade it's important to use a fuel additive for pump lubrication.

I have had a TST box on my truck for a year now. 40,000 trouble free miles. I recently added the 275's and VA. If the pump is going to go, it will go soon.
