**** Don't like the new look? Here's how you change it back ****

If you don't like the new look of the forums and wish to have it look more like it did before the change you have that option. I knew there would be some people that wouldn't like the change and would prefer it the old way so I made it an option for you to get rid of the borders. Some of the stuff will still be different like the buttons, the logo, spacing, etc - but it looks very close. Click on "User Control Panel", then "Edit Options" and go down to the bottom and change the Style Set to "No borders".

I Like it!

Steve:

Nice job, easy to read, easy to use.

Some don't like anything new, and many would complain if they were hung with a new rope!

New look is great for me I can read it much easier.

I would like to see the ( Go to first unread post ) added back to the postings.

Thanks,TJ

The go to first unread post link is still there, not sure what you mean. You can either do it by clicking on the down arrow in the subject line on the thread list screen or click on the "Go to first unread post" link right above Author in the heading line when looking at a thread. That's where they've always been btw.

I like "but" and everyone has one don't they!!!;) I remember we had to limit the length of our profiles and other changes so the site would not slow down (almost stop!!), etc. On ocassion still happens. How does this change effect that; are we going to get in the same fix again? Can we have longer profiles come up when we post now? I think the profiles are inportant enough that I would forego the new style to get the ability to show the complete profile again. I know if I want to see it I will take the extra step necessary to get the whole thing, just lazy I guess.

Anyway do like the new style. Oo.

Actually Bob, the new look is smaller than the old one but not by much. I made some of the graphics images smaller, eliminated others, took some white space out, etc. I'm doing everything I can to keep the speed up for dial up users while making it look as good as possible.

Thanks Steve just curious?:D Actually right now have Cox Cable so speed not problem. Later (Friday retired) will be RVing and using the old and slow modem and will be more concerned sometime soon. You did a great job. Oo.

Some of us get comfortable with a system and hate to see it changed. Guess thats why I've lived in the same home for 28 years.

I follow the old addage that if it's not broke, don't fix it! I for one don't like the "new look" but the majority will so I've turned off the borders and will go with the old look. As for the rope -oh never mind!

Comfort

paccool - Understand comfort Lived in Texas for 30 years, then in 4 different states during the last 5 years. Sometimes ready for that rope!

Denny

Denny,

If I had to live in NJ I'd be ready for that rope too! I've been there and didn't care for it. Now, before you guys that live there start in on me, I would like to say that I'm native to California and it is bad here as well. Where I live at (been here almost all my life) used to be a great spot to live until they made it into a tourist haven. Now everthing is for the tourists and not for the people that live here. That and all the BS the people in this state have to put up with from the state gov.

Just need a couple more years and then I hope to be out of here.
