Don't you just love happy endings? *Pics* ******NEW TRUCK!!*********

Tom turned out to be an awesome guy that really is into these trucks. He took the time to show me a number of things about the rigs that I would have had to look up otherwise.

Through all of this, Tom has been cool. He even picked me up from the airport. My truck was delievered as one would expect, SPOTLESSLY clean and full to the brim of Diesel.

After all I went through to get this truck, I can't believe how much I love this thing already. I've got about 300 miles on it thus far and I just can't believe how nice it is, the smell, the performance, everything. I'd even venture to say that the G56 shifts better than the NV 5600, smoother, closer ratios, etc. It still seems like it needs another gear, but by far and without question, this pickup is the finest I've ever driven.

That is Tom in the pics btw. I figured none of you wanted to see my ugly ***, besides, Tom never posts his mug, so I did for him. More pics to follow I'm sure. :)

Congrats Tim, glad you finally got yourself a ride. No more complaining from you now, right? ;) Keep us posted on how the G65 breaks in once you get some miles on it and if it stays smooth.

Have fun, Vaughn

Nice rig Tim. Now you can finally adjust your signature! :)

I wonder if the dealership advertises "There's no fuss at Lou Fusz Dodge!" :)

i'll never forget when i picked mine up from Tom. it was one spot to the right of yours. one of the happiest days of my life. good luck with the new ride.

Especially after the hold, and all the frustration, and everything, I will certainly never forget today. What a glorious day... . my rig is finally allllllllllllllll mine.

Nice looking truck. I would beware of that G56 trans, don't think your in the clear just yet...

The test will be this weekend. My truck is getting broken in, "Properly" with 10,000 lbs behind it on a 1500 mile trip.

Does the internet *add* 10 pounds? Looks like a need to lose a few, huh?

Its always great to see your pic on the internet, At least its a diesel forum... And not another "site" - hehe

BTW - Tims trucks - Perfect combo --- shortbox, 3500, handshaker!!

(other than not red, and not sport :D)

Tomey you're a hell of a man. After Tim blasted your integrity you still did business with him. Most guys would have told him to,well I won't say.

When the time comes to replace my current rig I will look you up.

Boy oh boy, could I tell some stories about customers I have had in my office

One told me he was going to wait for me to get off of work and tell me how he really felt about the deal I gave the day before - Sometimes people just get upset, I can deal - I am used to it

PS - One time a guy got so angery at the offer I made for his truck, He pulled my keyboard right off my desk (still plugged in) and threw it on the ground Saying "I dont care what the internet says, my truck is worth xxx" -- Hahaha, still makes me laugh

If I'd have known how scrawny you were, I'd have just offered to kick your *** for you.

Seeing as how this is the internet, I wouldn't want to show up, and find someone 6'5" and 300 lbs to deal with!!!

It's all good though Tom. Amazingly I still think I'm going to go on my trip. I'm not too keen on taking a brand new rig with 500 or so miles on it and hitching it to all this weight, but I suppose it's not the end of the world, it could be worse!

Tom, should have thrown your monitor on the floor and said, "No it ain't!!!"... You know... Just to confuse him... . :-laf

Tim, would not have advised taking on Tom... . He has a Black Belt in Bombing. Plus it is not the size of the individual, but how many friends he has willing to pitch in. (ALL IN JEST)

Glad you got your truck and I think you will enjoy it. Don't worry with all the naysayers on the G56, if it happens, it happens. You have an unlimited resource here to find the right service department to correct it or to at least find a source for NV5600s..... :D
