I have an '06 Quad Cab that I have only owned a couple of months. Just recently a strange problem has developed. Everytime I drive now and once I get above 15mph the auto door locks try and lock, the door ajar light flashes, and the dome light flashes. It repeats this about 10-12 times and then stops. It starts the sequence all over once someone opens and closes the door. I am lost as all the doors are closed. Any ideas? Thanks for the help.

seems like a doozie.

There is a wire harness that passes through the rear door into the pillar. Do you have kids that could be using that as a hand-hold to get into the back seat?

Have you tried to change the setting so the auto door lock feature is off. That may alleviate the problem till you can work it out.

check wires to the rear doors. i just did and found a broken wire. it fixed my dome light issue. see many threads on that issue.

Drivers Side Rear Door between cab and door. What a mess. This was causing the trucks brain some confusion. Problem solved. Thank You!

That just plains sucks!
It looks like insulation on the wires got dried out and cracked leaving the wires intact until they bend back and forth too many times. Is that what we're seeing?

that was the same for me.
but just the purple wire, and it was broken clean in half.
it was the really small wire for the dome.
i open that particular door, probably 50 times a week on average. .

My '05 did this last Sunday. Drove me nuts. I have the broke wires in the B-pillar to door and that is what is causing mine. Something else to fix. Just got through putting all new ball joints and tie rod ends on it... . Still cheaper than notes on a new one though. Oo.
