Door light switches

I am having issues getting door light switches that activate the interior lights when the door is open.



I picked up a set from NAPA and they dont fit! They are too long. Tried Dodge and they no longer sell them.



Only thing I can think of is that my crew cab cab is off of a 1980 and my doors are from a 1993. Would that cause an issue? Do I need the 70's style door plungers? IS NAPAs part just wrong?

I looked up the door jam switches on Oreilly Auto parts, and a 93 definitely has a different switch part number than an 80.

Well, I guess then I need to look for a 80 switch!



Interesting as well. Guess the A Pillar is the part that changed between the old trucks as my door is still the same.

I put one in my 91,I too thought it was too long. found out they self adjust when you close the door. try it. my 2 cents. PETE
