Door open switch

I'm pretty sure I have a bad door switch on my "new" '92, causing battery drain.

Is there a trick to pulling that switch with access to only one side?

Anybody have to replace one?

IRRC just unscew it... ..... the wire will twist a bit but it has room

Thanks Bob! I saw the wire twisting and it didn't look right. thought I'd ask.

Do you have a glove box light? I'd check there 1st. I had one that the switch wouldn't push far enough to shut off. You couldn't see it at nite either. I found it accidently one day, saw the light was on while I was under the dash, and the door was closed. Another guy I know had his fall thru the hole, so it wouldn't shut off.

The glove box light checked ok, although that whole glove box is a pretty flimsy design. It turned out the contacts were dirty on the drivers door switch.
