Double roof

Anybody know if the roof of the 4 door cab is double sided so I can mount a rifle rack in the ceiling. Got the rack from Cabelas for a present.

I don't know about the 3rd gens. , but my 2nd gen is not double, although my 1st gen was. Found out the hard way when the drill bit hit blue sky.

I don't think it is double, either. An acorn could dent it. There is not much metal there.

You might want to consider if you have side air bags as well...

Just a suggestion, but perhaps the local dealer could look on the schematics to if it's double or not. Pete

Thanks for the info. My dad had a first generation and his was double. I will stop by the dealer and see if they can tell me.
