How old is the fuel? PowerService additive has helped solve a few problems, it sure couldnt hurt. . Make sure to key cycle a few times to mix up the fuel before starting

If you just lightly crack the nut on the injector line, you`ll see high pressure if its there.

Crazy you dont have any codes. .

good luck

doug5cents, Think of this story. . My truck, 03 4x4, would not start while I was up at hunting camp. So we jumped from a running FJ40 Land cruiser and charged the starters battery ( drivers side) Still would not start. Checked for codes only code was for a crank sensor, so I replaced that and it still would not start. Checked for fuel at the fuel filter. . Had fuel. . So I had it towed to the Power shop in Enumclaw, Washington about 100 miles away, ouch! They took one look at my batteries, pulled them and placed a test set that they had for that purpose and voile the truck started right up. Had new batteries put in the truck and drove it home. Their response to my question of WHY; was that if the truck senses less than 9 volts during the cranking process it will not allow the truck to fire. Who knew.
This was back in early November of 2011 and the truck has been running just fine ever since.
just my . 02 cents

you might be looking at injectors being the cause. if they leak, it then won't have the nessary min psi for computer to "fire them off" I believe that around 6k psi Which happens pretty dang quick at every start.

Un plug the connector that goes into cp3, try to start truck. if it runs, shut it down quick. (this fools the computer to thinking you have the min pressure. ) if this is the case you could have excess leakage from one or more injectors.

well, i went out this morning and had hooked up the block heater last nite switched on ign switch and checked fore codes hit the starter and the #@#*** thing started up instantly??????? go figure i had emailed Joe Donelely? TDR guy and he said could be fuel control module on the pump. could it have been sticking who knows?? stay tuned!!
DAMN THE GREMLINS!

Do not crack injector line on a common rail. They need 4000 psi to start. you don't want that kind of pressure with an open line! ")

On the common rail they dont need to be bled to start. it is amazing how quick they start even when the rail has been removed and reinstalled.

well here we go again started and ran on 4/02 and ran great untill yesterday4/08 no start well burnt 1 tank of fuel and refilled on friday 4/07 my wife plugged in the block heater and said its 65 degrees out here and low and behold 3 hrs later went out and it started, so this morning it started ok ???? will pull out the fuel control module and check the plug and clean it ?? or go get a new one

called the diesel store .com. the tec parts man said it was probably a bad check ball in one injector not the f c m can have dodge run computer scan on truck might be able to pinpoint which one??? can also try cummings service. ANY HINTS???

well took it to dodge this morning they checked the computer no that was not it ? did the return Flo was within specks they recommended pull out all the injectors and test them and replace the one or ones that are leaking ??? if i replace all of them i can get all 6 plus h p injector inlet connector (parts only) online for 2397. 42 plus tax! wow cheaper than dealer! also talked to cumings tec on friday he said they test and would replace them my question is if one is bad how long before the one takes a dump??? also no fuel in oil , will re torque the inlet connector before i do anything else!
parts man said try sea foam it might fix it??

Unfortunately, these injector designs have some flaws... . If anything managed to get past your filter, it will almost instantly cause an injector problem. And I've seen factory injectors be bad out of the box... . I advise most of my customers that have over 100K to have the injectors rebuilt or replaced, when it's finally narrowed down to the injectors being the cause of the problem. Yes, it's expensive, but it should be relatively trouble free the next 100K... . should.

Those injectors are EXTREMELY sensitive to foreign matter. I was shown this by another TDR member... . draw a black line on one of the injector nozzle valves with a sharpie, and push it back into it's bore in the nozzle. Pull it out and most of the sharpie mark is wiped off!! That's a tight tolerance!! And imagine what a single grain of sand or grime can do to it!! Also why I wouldn't recommend Sea-Foam. The grime has already been in there and done it's work, most likely. No additive in the world is going to replace the metal that's been moved or removed..... JMO. It's free, take it for such.....

made a deal with dodge dealer they did replace all 6 injectors for 3100 parts and labor but got me for extra $420. oo for tubes could have ordered them on line for around 300. oo but had it running in 6. 5 hrs and serviced and adjusted the transmission with new oil $41. 000. and i did not have to do it in the rain. THE injectors were shot all six were dirty/nasty the guy at Dinomite diesel said that i was lucky to go that long, runs like new 186000 mi and still going THANKS ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR COMMENTS!!

Seems a bit early for the injectors to get trashed, but not familiar with the system. Glad to hear you are up and running again.
