the dowel pin can be held in using a small bracket underneath

a front cover bolt beside the pin

I also have a scope to go in the front cover and look at it

in a matter of just a few minutes.

Sounds like the tab method.

Someone else here tried a bore scope with no success, couldn't get past the gears. You must have to drill a hole in the cover.

Why even fool with scoping it when anyone who can change their own oil can do the jig fix in an hour basically for free?

I agree how would you get to the tab with a bore scope, without drilling in the case?

how tabbed?

Please explain me too how can it be tabbed. I am in northern Europe, have no chance to get a jig from the States.

Am interested in alternative fixing methods.

TIA. Werner:confused:
