I am upgrading to either the SPS 62 turbo or the HTT super stock 62 and I have a preexisting cat back with cat eliminator pipe stainless steel exhaust (mbrp), I would like to get a stainless steel downpipe to match when I do the turbo upgrade, I can't find any companies that sell a stainless downpipe for the 04. 5 and up trucks, does anybody know of where to get one, or could I just get the HX 40 downpipe (it comes in stainless), I thought the exhaust end of the HX 40 pipe wasn't 4 inches and if it isn't it won't mate up to my existing exhaust. What have the rest of you all done with your downpipe when you upgraded turbos on the 04. 5 and up trucks. Thanks, Jay

Well I had Michael order the II downpipe for 600 auto engine when I had the II SPS66 intalled. He told me it was not necessary at the time and I am sure he is right after seeing it.

This is II detail on downpipe:

The HX40 downpipe and clamp are required for installation on trucks with the automatic transmissions.

From my post a few days ago inquiring about the installation of an SPS 62 onto my truck, I was told that the HX40 will come up 8" short, and another piece will have to be added in between. Only a couple people mentioned this in the thread, and I've never read that before, so I don't really know, since I haven't installed it yet.

I had a hx40 downpipe on my truck before I installed a 3rd gen e brake. I cut the downpipe off & welded on a 3rd gen bung. I had to change the exhaust housing of the turbo to 3rd gen also... . I have the hx 40 downpipe section from where the bend starts to the turbo..... if you need it ... . let me know. It is aluminized steel not stainless, but it will save you some cash.
