Hi everyone. My friend needs an exhaust for his 92 W250 auto regular cab. I've been hearing lots of good things lately about the Rip Rook 4" system, anybody have any comments on it? Is the system 4" past the T-case? What did you use for hangers, and does it clamp together or do you have to weld it?
He also has a wastegated 12cm2 housing from a 12 valve truck that he wants to put on but he doesn't have gauges yet, so that will have to wait for a little while. I heard that a downpipe off of a 12 valve will fit and it's shorter for the wastegate. Are the factory d/p's 4" and mandrel bent? Everything else on the truck is stock, but not for too much longer. How much boost do you get stock (21cm2) vs. 12 cm2 and how much should you run? Also, has anybody had the exhaust housing and/or center section ceramic coated? If so how much and did egt's go down?
