A DUCK with a Cummins.......

what is my HP?

Taken from the website

"The Aeroturbine breakthrough literally takes the incoming exhaust air stream and splits it via an airfoil cone with an orifice similar to a jet engine. The air begins to spin because of the increased velocity and pressure transfers. The outer air stream then accelerates as it recombines with the inner air stream. This create a vacuum that muffles the exhaust sound and increase exhaust flow. The allowing your engine to breathe easier and dramatically increase performance while lowering exhaust gas temperatures"

"The Aeroturbine takes the place of the stock or straight through muffler used with many 4" performance exhaust systems used for diesel pickups. The Aeroturbines most beneficial feature is a dramatic reduction of exhaust gas temperatures (EGTs) and a marked improvement in fuel economy. Because the Aeroturbine is powered by the exhaust, the higher the RPM's and exhaust flow the more efficient the Aeroturbine becomes"

THOUGHTS???? another TAG good idea with small results or more???? THE #s look good!

I have one on my wife's 03... I never baselined it, but we like the sound and the price using most of existing 4" exhaust syst was good.

Don't know how it sounds like on a 2nd Gen.

My thought? Complete Horse Poop!!!

The Aeroturbines do work very well to lower EGTs. The other items such as mileage and hp gains will be small. Also the Aeroturbine needs to be mounted as far forward inthe system as possible to stop drone and gain the best performance possible. It is also one of the best sounding mufflers especially on the 2004. 5 and newer trucks with cats. On these trucks we have developed a kit to mount the Aeroturbine on the outlet of the cat and use a replacement off-set pipe in place of the muffler, reusing the factory tail pipe.

Horse Poop? Come now we all stayed awake through physics class when we learned basic concepts of Bernoulli didn't we lol. Claims of what amounts to a cool sounding muffler are substantially more forthcoming than the ones of EGT reduction, which is of course Equus Caballus Pucky.

heh heh I must clarify!!

The theory behind the aeroturbine as published in the advertisement is the horse poop part of it.

It is however a cool looking Bling Bling part.

The Aeroturbine did wonders for the exhaust sound on my '03. Went from sad hissy sound to nice clean deep tone. As for EGT reduction and spoolup, etc. , I didn't notice any change. I think they work a lot better on Powerstrokes because the exhaust pulses heavily due to the V8 configuration. I think it's why Dave Meheen saw a significant EGT improvement on his and his wife's PSD rigs when he was playing around with different setups and noting the effect on EGTs.

Hey Just had My aeroturbine installed today and so far I like it!! We will see what happens with the gas MPG? It has a sweet *** sound to it as well
