My truck is a 2009 Ram 3500 6.7L with 84,000 miles on it.
The problem is that the truck goes into a regen every time I that I start it and travel down the road.
If it were not hat I have a Edge CTS monitor I would not know that this is happening. But, my mileage really sucks. But, the truck is not lacking any power and I'm not getting any overhead messages.
Back to the monitor. I was playing around and saw that I could pull the DTC codes and there was the P1451. Given that, I set the monitor to show when a regen occurs and also the DPF pressure. When in regen the temp goes to 1150 degrees and higher. The pressure shows .30 to as high as 1.5. Not sure what that tells me.
Today I dropped the truck at a local mechanic that has a good reputation for fixing diesels. He attempted to do the stationary high temp regen to clean out the DPF but his computer told him that he couldn't start the regen. This is the first time that he has not been able to perform this.
So, anyone else out there have this problem.
