DPF Delete Kit with Smarty now PO63D code

Just installed a DPF delete kit with smarty jr. 1st trip got 10 miles down road and check gauges light comes on. I hooked smarty to truck and it reads a PO63D code which says "Generator Voltage Sense High". Is this code related to the deleting the DPF??

Update: Called dealer and gave them the code the smarty showed. Dealer says no such code. No codes should end with a letter, should be a number. So he told me to check all connections and see what happens. Checked everything and all is fine. Going to local auto parts for them to check batteries and alternator. If all that is good, off to dealer for them to tell me whats wrong.

Mine showed P063D once, it ended up being loose battery terminal.

Update: Well turns out one of my batteries was at 50%, was only 2mths old. Exchanged for new battery and all is well! Back on the road.

Sounds like you need to use a new service department... some people just don't try hard enough

You will need a tuner such as a Smarty S-67ME or JR and or one from H&S. You will than need blocking plates for the EGR (partial removal) or remove the EGR cooler and all hardware that uses the EGR system. The last piece of the equation is an exhaust system from MBRP or such. I am using a 5" TBE from MBRP that has been designed for a 5. 9L long bed truck. They are interchangeable with a 6. 7L, 07. 5 to an 09 truck.



Smarty on their web site does provide information on how to do the deletes using a Smarty.

If you want to do a quick delete, especially if you have smog check. A DPF delete pipe (you keep your down pipe and muffler) and a Smarty Jr. Remove the Nox/DPF cannisters in place of the DPF delete pipe, unplug the Throttle Valve plug, take the spring and plunger out of the EGR acuator motor and re-install, download the Smarty programmer w/ the ME software and decide on stock, 40hp, 70hp, 100hp SW settings. Then your good to go. Takes about 45min-1 hour for this delete.

Code p063d came on just one day after replacing the batteries on my 08 cummins 6.7 ,did some research and found out that is do to dirty terminals, cleaned them up good and problem solved.
