Has anyone used the DPP FASS (fuel air separation system) System? I see their ad in the latest TDR (Aug/sept/oct 2003) issue on page 100.

The picture shows a couple of filters and a motor or pump on top of the filters. I'm not really sure what it does for $535. 00 and would like to hear about your personal experiences if any. They advertise a 20HP gain.

Does this thing replace the factory lift pump?

Thanks in advance,

Charles

Check out ADT...

Charles,

Doug and Andy at ADT are now selling a system with the FASS setup. I believe they have complete packages including all the precut fuel line and fittings you will need. Yes it does replace your stock lift pump.

Here is a link to the FASS fuel system on their site...

FASS fuel system

Hey, I just saw this gizmo firsthand at A&M diesel in Macon GA. Allen is putting it on the company truck, and is testing it out. IT was VERY stout, and seemed to be a very quality piece. I am interested to hear what kind of results users report.

Charles,

When my VP finally gave up I had EEP put on my new VP and install a FASS system as well. My motor is stock thanks to the VP draining my bomb fund. That being said I can only get the FP guage to come down about 1 to 1 1/2 lbs from 16 at WOT. It is a neat looking unit. I guess its a step in the right direction to help avoid killing another VP. The pump is very quiet and the motor looks similar to the starter motor on our lawn mower :) Everyone at EEP seems to think this may be the answer to the lift pump problems. Of course we've all heard that befoure. They mounted it on the frame right underneat the fuel fill door. Quite a setup, far superior to my pusher pump setup I had before. Hope this helps even though I really dont have anything on my truck to put it to the test.
