I have an edge comp and just got a smarty. will it do many any good to upgrade the comp to the drag? Since the drag will not defuel until 3200 rpm won't the smarty do the same thing as drag in all 5 levels of the edge?

What!!!!????? I am very confused!!!

You have a Edge Comp, right? If yes, than why buy a Juice? They both do the same thing.

If anything, buy a TST PowerMax Comp to stack.

Ok I guess I was not clear. I want to know if it will do me any good to upgrade to the drag comp if I have a smarty. From what I understand the only difference between the comp & the drag comp is the drag will not defuel until 3200rpm in level 5. Since the smarty lets me rev past 3200 will I gain any thing doing the drag upgrade.

I know that when I upgraded my comp to a drag comp the fueling came in harder and quicker, as well as having the higher rpm. The thing was that it was upgraded to version 8 of the software from version 7, so that may have been part of the change too.

I would like to see a for sure answer to this question as well. I would like to see dyno charts of how much fuel the smarty adds above the 2700, with the regular comp box, and does it add as much fuel between 2700 and 3200 as the drag comp upgrade does. Also how much defeating of the defuel does the smarty do above 3200. I guess what I am saying is, if I am making 638hp at 3200, with the drag comp, what would I be making at 3400 rpm with the drag comp and smarty.

Sorry about not answering any questions, but I would like to see this answered as well.

Drag would really help if have a auto and drag race or just play on the street. Because your WOT shifts should be 3,100 or so and not defueling would help. The comp defuels at 2,700 and you can see it on a egt gauge pass 2,700 the egt fall off. Is your truck auto or 5-6spd?
