Ok, now I am confused. I had the recall that involved what I thought was the drag link and tie rods along with new pitman arm. I come to find that the tie rods were replaced, the pitman arm and the "inner" drag link that attaches to the pitman arm but not the whole arm??? Well, of course, I now have a worn out drag link joint where it attaches to the right side of the tie rod, I guess the newer Y-shaped setup. I am being told that the drag link may be the upgrade, may not be, the inner part may have been replaced but not the rest, etc but I need a lower drag link part now to cure my issue and don't know what part to search for. To confuse matters worse the dealer told me there is a whole new upgrade now as well. Does this make sense to anyone and is there someway I can find the proper lower drag link or the whole drag link for that matter. Did the new pitman arm change this equation wherein a different drag link is needed? Did the recall of the tie rods change anything? Thanks

The first recall issued would not change anything IF the original design steering linkage was still on the truck. That being the linkage that had a stud mounted steering stabilizer. How ever even some dealers misunderstood the recall and would replace with the 08.5 style linkage along with the matching stabilizer and correct angled pitman arm.The latest recall only replaces the link that connects the knuckles only with a new design that will keep the tie rod ends in the proper orientation,if you just have worn linkage it is not covered under any recall

A picture of your linkage you have now and the recall number that you have received would help clear up all your questions
