As long as you get a block you can go 4"for the steering knuckle maybe more if some came up with a adjutible link

From what I see, about 2-3" above stock is max for usable, safe geometry..... Even then, you're steering wheel will likely be canted to the left some, without adding a block to the top of the axle where the drag link connects.

Had the Block on my last truck and Dumped it for Cross Over Steering that was the Best thing I did with that truck's Feel is Plain AWEsome . you can steer with 1 finger if you like .

I found some pictures. A while back I was going to do a write-up on what I thought to be the end-all to steering woes but never got around to it. Here's what the crossover looks like in case anybody searches in the future. This has been done on many trucks with remarkable results.

It's supposed to have been 4". I bought my springs from Alcan when they were in the middle of an ownership transition. I think they were much more than 4", the rear had clearance issues and a few other things. A great company to work with, my experience just had a few hiccups so I don't know for sure how much lift it was.

I called Redhead directly for the box, they had it in to my door in just a few days i believe. That, the borgeson shaft, and ORD crossover is the complete ticket. That 93 drove better than anything i've ever owned. I had a couple older power rams that I would have to rebuild the front end every year. I never had this truck long enough to know how durable this setup is but it was like steering a sports car.

I wholeheartedly agree with the crossover steering. I did the conversion on my 12V powered 88' Chevy 2wd. You will need a 2wd steering box and the Offroad Design parts simply bolt in. My Crew-Cab was already 2wd so all I had to do was mount their drop pitman arm and steering arms for the 60 and I was set. Drives easy, straight and less wear on the box and frame. A must for oversized tires as far as I'm concerned.

Agree with Simplysmn, I've had boxes off 2 & 4wd trucks at the same time. Same box, just rotated 90 deg. & bolted onto that #@&* bracket rather than directly to the frame like 2wd.
