I might be doing a grudge match at the local drag strip pulling a trailer with about 6K on it. My jeep club was asked to be the entertainment during the down times (between heats) and we where kicking around the ideas of starting out with a match against a couple of the tow rigs yanking the jeep behind it.

Here is my question, other than an ETG, and a EZ box, my truck is stock. I know the 48re is not going to like this run, but am I looking at possibably breaking anything??? My truck should have lots of traction, so there will be some major stress put on the drivetrain. With just the box, is there a possibility of snapping the input / output shaft???

truck specs:

2004 quad 2500 SWB, 48re, 305/555, edge EZ.

The competition is (might just pull the same trailer and just run times to make it equal):

Ford 7. 3 w/bully dog box

Ford 7. 3 w/propane

Duramax dually LLY (stock)

Ram w/Edge EZ

Thanks in advance

Dave

Great idea!

I think all of the truck competition should be done loaded.

The guys that hang out in the competition forum should be able to help you out more on this.

A better comp would be running to Joplin with equal weight/aero trailers, everyone has a gps, no one allowed to go over max speed of 5 over and see who get's there first with all the hills. Add 20 seconds to your time for every downshift once you're in top gear. :--)

I can hear the hi revver guys already :{
