Attention: TDR Forum Junkies I decided to hit the strip Thursday night which is test and tune at the local track. My cousin has been talking trash to me for the last month about lining up beside his truck. His truck is a 04 GMC short bed regular cab 2wd with 5. 3L and 3. 42 gears. He also has a cold air intake,a superchips programmer, high performance tires, and had just enough gas to make a couple of passes. I ran a 15. 06 at 93. 4mph to his 15. 29 at 94. ? mph. He informed me after the run his truck was not running right an he had to leave. :-laf
15. 06 at 93. 4 turned out to be my fastest run of the night. This pass was made with the juice/attitude on level 5 and in 4HI. Is this a good/average/slow time? I tried to get into the 14's but I just couldn't get there. Transmission takes what seems like five seconds to shift from 3rd to 4th. I believe if Transmission would shift as quickly as it does from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd I would have easily ran a high 14.
What do you guys think?
