How does one know when they have drained the fuel rail? I have 28 psi to the cp3, 22 psi at wot, so is the fix for a drained rail a modified cp3?

timeless, unless you have a rail pressure gauge it's pretty tough to tell unless you are experiencing rail pop. I believe you stated in another thread you still have stock injectors, so unless you set the tq too high, and run too high of sw with the TNT software, your probably ok.

A bag of parts will help, I have the Arson III and it increased the low end fueling alot, to the point I leave my tq setting at 1 all the time.

If you are going to install a BOP, I believe they are the same as the Arson, here is a link with some helpful hints, go to the 6th post down, I did a step by step: Arson III kit - Dodge Cummins Diesel Forum

While I am not running a very high SW I don't see TQ effecting my RP at all, but a manual is probably different as there are more pauses in fueling that will allow the pressure to come back up.

The only way to fix draining the rail is to either turn down your tuning or modify your CP3.

Without a gauge you really can't tell.

Before the TNT software's, I didn't either.

Where I would really notice it, was light throttle about 35/40 mph in Drive(3rd). If I would start to lightly roll into the throttle, my rp would instantly drop down to around 5k and then slowly recover. By lowering the tq setting, I was able to rectify that, also the Arson kit helped, but even now if I set tq to 3 or 4, I can duplicate the rp drop, and I have small injectors(F1. 2's).

That is probably why TNT was written with modified trucks in mind.

I haven't ever ran TNT, so can't comment on my experience there.

You are going to expedite the destruction of the gear pump and possibly destroy you CP3 with that much lift pressure @ everyday driving, that much lift should only be used for competition or race.

Thanks Todd, i didn't know it would be a problem. I turned the pressure down to 18.

JJPage-thanks for the info, i'll definitly be getting an arson III soon. I appreciate you letting me know about it because from what i have now found out, you get a lot more "bang for your buck" over the BOP

They are exactly the same. and yield the same results. . I cannot count how many times problems have develop after any type of add on parts. . You just don't here it on the net ,BC why get the cheer-leading treatment.

I agree. The CP3 only needs flow, not pressure.

Bosch told me that -5 to +15 was the operation range.
