Am I the only one who has trouble getting a cup next to the drain tube? I can't seem to get a little bottle close enough to the tube. Has anyone put an extension on the stock tube so it is a bit lower than the axle?

Any help would be appreciated!

I drained some fuel into a plastic coke bottle to see if it had any water in it after 7500 miles (it did not), I needed help to do this because it looked impossible to do alone. The obvious way to do it alone would be to either cut the tubing or just drain a small amount onto the ground.

After reading this thread, I also changed my fuel filter yesterday, it turned out to be a waste of time, money and fuel. I drained the fuel into my oil drain pan. The filter was a little grey, but did not need changing. I will drain the water at my 7500 mile oil changes and the filter at the specified 15K intervals from now on.

I do carry an extra filter and a 1 1/8 wrench with me as I always did, just in case. If I have a plugged filter, I will be back in business in 15 minutes.

vonbonds- I just got me a longer piece of tycon tubing and put on mine. I only drain it when I change the filter ever 10000 miles. When I am through I just stick the tubing in a hole on the frame.
