Drawbacks of EGR delete

I need to clean my EGR soon, Just wondering if it made more sense to just do the delete as the software is in place to do so. But have been reading about headgasket issues. Though I think that's from those driving like a sports car. Don't use mine on more than mild. What are the draw backs risks to the engine other than less soot.

Any particular delete kits better than others.

I see that you are using a tuner on your truck. Have you deleted the DPF? Or is your tuner just a monitor and you are using a non-delete tune? In order to delete the EGR system you will need to use a delete tune for the truck or it will go into limp mode.

You may fail the head gasket if the cooler is to be deleted. I can't prove that but I have not had any issues with my engine with the EGR cooler on the engine but the EGR system is disabled.
