So I've noticed my drive pressure installation is sometimes holding pressure after shutdown, up to 10psi. I'm assuming that the tube is getting carbon in it.
Mine is set up with a couple feet of 1/8" copper from the manifold and I have never had such symptoms. Nearly 4 years now. You may have a defective gauge or possibly overtightened a compression fitting which is creating a restriction? Perhaps a combination of that and carbon?
